Progression

Ezekiel 47: 1-12 symbolizes the Lord's (final) Temple and the life (power) that flows from it. Kindly read the passage.

Here are some guidance for builders of God's Temple:

  1. God is not delaying. When he has given his word, it's time just to do it.

Except YHWH says we should wait for more instructions, there is no reason to wait - proclaim it. We do what we normally do in line with his instruction but with increased fervour.

Psalm 68:11 in the New international version says: 'The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:''

The Amplified Version makes it clearer by putting it in the context of its passage: ''The Lord gives the command [to take Canaan]; The women who proclaim the good news are a great host (army);''

And the King James version reads,

''The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.''

So, whether it is women or people in general, the idea is that as the YHWH gave his instructions, the people (women) went out immediately as a mighty army and proclaimed it. Don't wait!

It's time to build the Temple, magnify the city walls (the wall of fire Zechariah 2:5), bring in the Harvest of many and diverse fishes, and heal the nations. Publish it.

2. Progress is preordained. The depth of progression (results) is pre-ordained for each season.

Ezekiel 47:3 reads ''As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep.

4 He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist.

5 He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross. 6 He asked me, “Son of man, do you see this?”

Notice that

  1. The stream started from the base of the Temple as a trickle: From under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). …From under the south side of the temple, south of the altar.

  2. The measurements of this tickle were precise: '...eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits...'

  3. The progression was precise and determined.

  4. The progression was exponential and finally took over completely. It was explosive.

From

a trickle + 1000 cubits = ankle-deep

ankle deep + 1000 cubits = knee-deep

knee deep + 1000 cubits = waist deep

waist deep + 1000 cubits = torrential river!

The third temple was inaugurated at the resurrection of Jesus Christ when he became out of the grave reborn as 'the firstborn among many brothers and sisters' [Romans 8:29]. Acts 2:1-4 reads:

''When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.''

On that day of Pentecost, the streams of the Holy Spirit filled the Temple and started to flow out., To those present, it was the rush of a mighty wind. It was big to them but that just a trickle from the base of the altar. However, that fire was also the start of the wall of fire around the Temple of 'Saints'. That trickle of a stream will lead to a river. That river and its results grow till it causes the glory of God to cover the Earth as the waters cover the sea.

This brings me to the third guidance:

3. Do we see in line with God's vision? If so, we will speak words in agreement with what God has declared. We prioritize the vision as the Builders of the Second Temple did. The vision is accomplished by prioritizing the presence and person of the Holy Spirit.

''Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows.

  • There will be large numbers of fish because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.

  • Fishermen will stand along the shore; from En Gedi to En Eglaim there will be places for spreading nets. The fish will be of many kinds—like the fish of the Mediterranean Sea

  • But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt.

  • Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them

  • Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.”

Ezekiel reveals God's vision in the passage above. He shows that the people that the river touches will be

'' like trees planted by streams of water,

which yields its fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither—

whatever they do prospers.'' Psalm1:3

The word of God comes out as food (soul nourishing) only from a Tree that is itself nourished by the Spirit of YHWH. That one becomes a source of healing too.

Let us be careful not to dwell so much on academic knowledge, which (although useful) can lead to death if not infused and enabled by the spirit of God.

The Knowledge of the Glory of God can only cover the earth as the waters cover the sea.

''He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.'' 2 Corinthians 3:6
